    Default Lake Cumberland Information? PLEASE?!?

Ok. So Iím looking for any information on Cumberland you guys are willing to share. I have been there several times now and only caught 1 good crappie, and a few shorts, not many. Iíve been in fishing creek and lily creek so far. Just havenít been able to find fish. I usually donít have an issue finding fish on any other lake. But Cumberland is kicking my butt.!! Any information will be appreciated. Thanks!

Well, this has been the hardest fall i have had maybe ever at cumberland. I have caught way way more small fish than ever before. We normally caught 30 to 40 keepers pretty easy but the last 4 or 5 trips only had between 11 and 28 keepers. We have caught fish in 2 fow and 35 fow and everywhere between. Some days the fish are there next time they gone. And most of the time when they are there may only catch 1. We have had to fish 30 plus spots to catch that many no matter where we fish. I just keep switching styles and colors of jigs. Sunshine, monkey shine, monkeytreuse, solar ice is about the only colors i am catching any on in mini rods and deuces wild.

Well like I said normally we donít have trouble finding fish at any other lake around. Can usually always find and catch fish. But Cumberland I have yet to be able consistently find anything. The 1 keeper we got came out of lily creek couples weeks back. One of 2 fish we caught that day, the other one being a short one. Iím not a fan of Lily creek we went once but probably wonít be giving it much time in the future. So the rest of our attempts have been in fishing creek. Same results though. Havenít found a keeper fish yet. We have caught a short ones here and there. Have had good luck catching shorts on the steep wall in horseshoe bend. But no size. Plenty of shorts. Just figured Iíd see if could gather any extra information. What creek I should try, areas, deep/shallow, minnows/jigs, cover..? Not looking for anyoneís honey holes. Just a rookie on the lake and trying to figure it out. But sounds like itís been tuff for all. So maybe we just keep swinging.?

I have not been on Cumberland (fishing creek) in about 3 weeks. It has always been a hit or miss lake for me but most of the time i have been able to catch a mess of fish. This year has been tougher. The crappie seem to have disappeared. I know they are there but they scattered all over. Good luck and good .

Heard it from a very good source that "sometimes" you can't get within 20-25' of a school of Crappie at Cumberland or they're scatter !! (This behavior was noted on Livescope !! )

Pretty much the same situation on Green River Lake this fall as Cumberland.

You can add Rough River lake to this list too. I truly think the pandemic shutdown in the spring hurt crappie fishing.

Fish can be caught on Cumberland. A friend and his boat partner won the Crappie Masters Lake Cumberland event Saturday plus big fish. The big fish weighed in at 1.82 lbs. The 7 he could keep weighed 9.95 lbs. He told me that his boat caught at least 60 keepers which was weeded out to 7. I don't know where or how they did it. I caught 3, 9 inchers Friday morning. So i have no advice. But we cant give up. We've just got to go and try.
