Thread: LAke Cumberland Fishing Trip 09/28 - 10/2

We planned a trip to Lake Cumberland a couple months ago calling it our “social fishtancing” vacation. Social Fishtancing is right as the Crappie managed to “fishtance” from us all week. It was nice to be out on the boat with my wife away from all the chores at our place and just fish. My wife is a trooper as she put up with the cold snap and my moving from place to place.

I did have the privilege of accompanying Capt. Steve Spitzer @ Fishing Creek Ventures to Dale Hollow on Sept 29thto learn about spider rigging with his SR101 deal. It was one incredible day of learning about electronics, trolling techniques, conversation and fishing. I feel like I have made a new friend in Steve and appreciate his taking the time all day to teach me. I am “hooked” on trolling and am planning to set my boat up for this technique. If you have been considering booking a trip with Capt. Steve I say go for it, you won’t be disappointed.
