    Default Green 9 /29

First time on green for 3 months so had to do a lot of extra hunting. First time i got to test the slabmites too. I took a few picture and i will warn ya i am not the best picture taker. The fish was not on fire for today...we did catch 40 keeper size fish (all released) but we fished about a 6 mile stretch and a lot of spots. The best colors was sunshine and solar ice as you will see in the pictures if you can see good enough. We caught fish in 9 fow to 37 fow. Best depth was around 20 ft. And fish was on the bottom mostly too. Name: 20200929_133412.jpg

Looks like ya got into a few decent sized fish. Good Job !!

And that, my fellow C.c'rs, is how you take fish pics without giving away your location !!

Looks like you fished the mites by not pushing them all the way to the jig head? 1/4 oz jig?

I did push the slabmite all the way on the head. That picture with the one pulled down was because i had got hung a few times trying to get way down in the brush and i had tore the jig. Plus, had been using that jig for a while and had caught several fish on it. It was still catching fish so i had not changed it yet. I was using 1/16oz heads. To be honest slabmites will not fit on a 1/4oz jig head with a barbed collar. The guy with me is a minner guy only and since nobody had any minners he was forced to use jigs for the first time single poling and he did start out not pushing them all the way up on the collar.

Time spent on the water is not deducted from one's lifespan.
