We fished Taylorsville yesterday and had 58 very nice keepers. All were caught spider rigging with jigs and minnows, white/chartruese and pink/chartreuse. Lots of people fishing banks but I found them in 30 fow from 10 to 14 feet deep. Had a really good day. Here are a couple my wife and I caught. Good luck and God BlessName: 20200402_152807_HDR~2.jpg

I single poled yesterday caught 22 with 12 keepers on standing timber 10 to 18 feet deep 25fow. Red/chartreuse tubes with crappie nibbles. Had to move a lot though seemed to only catch one per tree.

Last few times I've gotten to fish T-ville this time of year (early to mid Apr) I've found them to still be in pre-spawn mode ... and not into full blown spawn mode until late Apr into early May, some on beds in 3fow - 8fow (depending on water conditions & stable levels).

I've done pretty good Pushing jigs @ 1mph with 1oz weights & 25' of line out ... cruising along the spawning banks, but out in 20+fow during the pre-spawn period. And occasionally casting the banks with a 1/16oz pink marabou Road Runner closer to the spawn, during the spawn, and for a period of time afterwards.

Various colors have done very well for me over the years, but blu/char - solid pink - purple/char seem to always be at the top of the list of the Crappie's favorites.

Fished Taylorsville yesterday with buddy from 8:30-3:30. We caught double limit of high quality keepers. Fished 16-12 FOW over brush piles, 10 feet deep with jigs.
