    Default Taylorsville Report

Lake was stained at Chowning Ln. Almost muddy downstream.
55 to 57 degrees and a million people there yesterday (Thursday)
Settlers was full and even Chowning Ln. was full with people
having to park on the side of the road.
I've never seen Chowning with over full parking lot.

Did you catch any fish? Trying to decide if getting there at 8:45 is to late and parking lots full?

I was there Thursday as well and you would have thought it was Labor Day weekend with the amount of boats. I didn’t get there until 12:30 and was lucky to take a spot as someone was leaving but the parking lot was full and the overflow lot was crowded too. There were even people skiing and swimming in 59* water 😳🥶.
I did end up with a limit but had to fight the waves and wind all day.
Caught all on a yellow/black jig and most in 12-16’ near the bottom but did catch a few casting shallow.

Could not get on the water Saturday. Got there at 8:30 on Settlers Trace and Possum Ridge were both full. Left and drove to Trailwood Lake in Shelby County and caught 30. Nothing big. All 9" minimum for me but small lake produces small crappie.

Got on Taylorsville this morning while still dark. Caught 25 by 11:00 and came home. Wind was horrible but did catch some nice keepers and just as many throw backs. Nice couple of days.Name: 20200329_120403.jpg
