    Default KY Lake level forecast

Just saw where Ky Lake is scheduled to be above 357 on 3/28 and above 360 next week. We’ve been wanting the current to drop. It will now be running back toward the bushes!
Hide the women, kids , and Minnies!

    It begins!

Should be awesome! Adam Martin did a presentation not long ago about crappie this time of year and their spawning response to rising water, it should get exciting in the days ahead!

I have seen this before. I bet they pull it back down and begin a slow rise in April.

Based on the forecast shown by the gauge at Johnsonville, the lake shows a continued rise through March 31st, so I bet it stays up. Typically the gauge at Johnsonville shows about 2.6 ft higher than the pool elevation at KY Dam due to it's location/elevation difference. I think the rise will be here to stay since April 1st is the start of bringing it up to summer pool and holding it there.

It was strange today to see the huge amount of current running INTO Little Jonathan today under the 68 bridge.

I fished today with a very dear friend. Just out of our lives being so busy, we haven’t shared the boat in 2 years. We laughed, shared stories , and got caught up on things while not catching a single keeper crappie. Apparently the reversal of current killed my longline bite for what I’ve been successful on.
The Skinnie Minnie did work on this green carp.

I have seen this movie several times. I'm with canepole. They will drop the bottom out as soon as the Ohio river gets back down.

    Default KY Lake level forecast

Water was 360.6+ around 8:00PM last evening when I caught this dandy on a 1/32 Double Cross Crappie Magnet jig, Crappie Magnet Midnight Blue body on SOS 2 lb test near Grand Rivers KY. Just might be the biggest crappie I’ve ever caught...LOL
