Default Spring Fishing Plans for all

Just a thread to see what everyone is planning this spring, since a lot is not going on now at our site. My brother and I plan a trip with MR Dux in May to catch whatever for 3 days and I know it will be good, regardless. Need to generate some discussion on what you guys plan, (Lake, fish type, and what you are going for). Past experience is also good information for all. Just something to talk about. If you have a hot spot, that we all would like to know(which is unlikely), let us know.

I just hope to get out more this year. Lost 1 fishing partner and the other is working more than I am.
Did I mention I don't care to fish alone?

Come visit me in northeast ky wannabe! I got room in my boat for ya!

Myself, I plan on fishing Grayson and yatesville lakes mainly for anything that I can fry. Iíve been asked by my soon to be father in law, to provide enough fish for a church fish fry for fathers day. So Iíve got my work cut out for me. I also want to try to get better at fishing cave run lake, and Iíd love to try Dewey lake for the first time. Iíd also really like to try my first tournament this year! Iíve got big plans for 2020! Look forward to hearing everyone elseís plans as well. Good idea for a thread. Thanks for starting

Fish Taylorsville more often that previous years. Fish Green more often & learn where the submerged cover is in the river end of the lake and waypoint it.
Take my fishing buddy, Rachel, fishing more & teaching her about boat handling, as she is contemplating buying a boat in the near future. I don't have to teach her how to fish, as she has shown good form in casting Road Runners & Pushing jigs (catching her fair share on our trips). Might have to give her a few lessons on casting jigs (line watching & feeling the thump).

Iíll be heading down to ky lake the last weekend of April for 3 days. Hoping to find some crappie but most likely will be post spawn and may have to resort to redear or bluegill. If anyone has tips for the bear creek area around that time Iím open ears. First time fishing ky lake for me

It’s that time of year again. I’m heading to northern Kentucky Lake for the first time (of this season) this coming weekend. I like to get an early trip in before my more serious trip later in March. Hoping I get luck and catch a couple decent days before the next flood hits.

Yep, along with my trip to KY/Barkley in May, I plan to hit a lot of the FINS lakes this year within an Hour of my house if possible. I've only been to the two here in Georgetown KY and they are pretty good, but fished a lot. I fish/target trout and bluegill in these lakes. The catfishing is good, but don't try for them, normally, but may try this year. Small lakes near me that I also fish and like are Corinth, Boltz, Beaver, Elmer Davis. Most have some decent crappie/bluegill most of the time, but seems to change year to year. I also have lost two of my fishing partners, so I'm planning to go boatless going forward this year. Regress to my younger years and find a spot on the bank/pier and catch what I can, simple as that.

Me and Drakeky did good on Taylorsville last week, but waiting for Green to get down to a reasonable level. Just getting my boat rigged up, so hopefully be spider rigging and pulling jigs in the next moth or two!

According to the Kentucky afield spring fishinng call in show last week, Elmer should be really good this year. Iíve never fished it. We donít have any FINS lakes in any of the counties near me. I wish we did...

I have those friends that everyone wants. They call when weather permits and check to see if Iím ready to fish. A few weeks back one of them called and asked if Iíd ever fished Weiss. Lord willing the last of March Iíll be the fat boy in the back screaming at my buddy to get the net. In April Iíll get toted over to Kentucky Lake to spend a few days, one of them with another friend who I highly recommend as a guide, Mr Doug Wynn. Spring Fishing Plans for all
In between Iíll be cutting bamboo so that Joseph Zimmerman and crew can drop beds that will hopefully grow enough 3 pound crappie to make my grandkids happy. Yes this will be a busy spring, but only because Iím rich with friends.
