Default New to lake fishing (Nolin)

I spent most of my crappie fishing standing on the side of creek banks. Just getting into trying it from a boat. It’s pretty intimidating trying to even figure out where to start. Any tips for finding them on Nolin during the different seasons? Maybe a few areas to try? I generally put in at the dam or moutadier but have tried wax a few times too. Not had much in the way of luck. Catching a ton of bass, but very few crappie.

    Thanks in advance!

I have a love hate relationship with Nolin. It can be a tough lake to fish for Crappie at times. This time of year with tyr lake going up and down a bunch they can be hard to find. You can try Dog Creek, Red Rock and long fall creek. If you look on the Kdfwr site you can see the fish attractors thatbthey have pit in. Good luck!

Nolin can be tough with all the changes in water level. There are a lot of fish attractors on the KDFR website in the lake and I have my best luck using those. In addition to the areas Rick mentioned, I would add conoloway. But I would look for the brush piles first.
