Default In need of your 2 cents.

My fishing buddy and I are licking wounds from recent mishaps and hope for better fishing days ahead. I got a call from him that set a fire under my hope. This question from him gave me that hope:
“Russ, what would you think about a trip to Grenada come spring?”

His purdy boat, him dragging my ole butt to the lake, and questions like this are what tight friendships are made of.

This is where your 2 cents can help. Neither of us have ever wet a line in Mississippi but we do have as much passion as most, Brian Johnson’s truck and boat. The areas we need your help will be lodging, and the how to’s for springtime in magnolia water. Any help from those with previous experience will be greatly appreciated.

If I was going that far I think I'd hire a guide for a day! Someone familiar with the lake! You can say in between the lakes that way you can fish ever which one that is doing the best!

Contact Jason with Grenada Lake Charters, all you have to do is show up. The food, fishing and lodging is taken care of. Even if you wanted to bring a boat, fish with them with a day or two and go out on your own after that.

I second Jason at GLC. Went last year and he was awesome. We fished with him one day and then he gave us as much info for us to fish on our own the next day. But I think prices have gone up a lot in the last year.

He had to raise cost a bit, he was charging not much more than a regular day guide but was providing 3 meals a day and lodging accommodations. I believe he has just fishing packages without food or lodging. Still the best bang for your buck for folks who want no worries and a full service deal.

If you dont do a guide and bring your boat I would recomend George payne cossar state park cabins at enid for two reasons, 1, they are super nice and a great place to stay. 2, it puts you between all of the big 4 its only a short drive to grenada, enid, sardis, or arkabutla from there. Every spring it seems like a different lake is the best.
