    Default Lake Malone

We’re heading to Belton In the morning and have rented a cabin on lake Malone near the state park. We’re taking the Cadillac so no truck, no boat and only a pole or 2 for a few hours of bank fishing. It’s not a fishing trip by no means but I’d like to squeeze in a few cast. Any tips? I’ve looked at the weather and it’s fairly mild and I’m guessing it’s not much different than central Indiana right now but I figured I’d see if it was worth bringing a pole?

    Thanks

Sorry that I cant help ya, I have never fished Malone. I do know that the ky dept of fish and wildlife has put attractors there. Check out their map on the kdfwr website. Maybe you can fish some from the bank.

The trips I’ve made to Malone have mostly been trips where we pulled crankbaits during a little warmer weather and mostly with good success. I have seen bottom brush, with electronics, with in casting distance both at the boat launch dock and to the left of the beach.
    Good luck!!

It was a bust. Rained everyday, didn’t see any fishermen. I didn’t wet a line but it isn’t a big deal. Thanks for the help gentlemen. I’m sure my real fishing trip to Kentucky lake this spring will be a whole lot better

Sometimes it happens that way. Wish it would have been better for you. Hope you nail them this spring!
