Good catch!!!!
Sorry for this last post, but I fished Dale Hollow lake on Friday (Dec. 27) and caught a nice limit of crappie spider-rigging 10 ft deep in 18 ft of water. Started about 11am and fished till 3:30pm. All fish were caught on minnows. Tried jigs and jigs tipped with minnows but couldn't beg a bite. Caught 22 crappie altogether, 2 bass and a handfull of bluegill. Kept 15 good ones!

I've fished for walleye and bluegill in the spring but never crappie, beautiful lake for sure!

Thanks for the report.Happy New Year.
Yes, as a matter of fact, I do have a retirement plan...FISHING!
I know this is way early but going to Dale Hollow to fish for Crappie and Bluegill
staying around the Trooper Island area. Anyone fished this area in late April early May.
Try beating the bank with jigs. They should be on the spawn then. If you find them, then fish similar cover. Also keep an outside pole with a minnow put out. Sometimes the females are hanging off from the bank
