artcarney, many thanks for the reply. I don't have an RV, but maybe if I can give them some type of fee to fish their lakes this may work. I will also look for bank access in the canal.

I'm sure this time of year they'll gladly take a couple of bucks to let you fish. I grew up within walking distance of the back entrance, I never paid a fee, but then again I was a kid and the owner back then was a good guy about it, Dr. Traylor was his name and he lived there on one of the lakes.

The north lake is privately owned with no fishing posted. South lake is owned by the RV Park and they allow fishing for a couple dollars per day permit. Bank fishing only that includes an island accessible by floating dock with a pavilion.

Tightlines, thanks for the info. Hope to go out there, but if not, will be good info for a future trip.

We lived on pecan 20 years ago and my son would ride his four wheeler back there and fish. With Gary's (Dr. Taylor's son) permission. It's a small world. Lol

I grew up on Linden, only time we got run off was if we rode our bikes over there. Dr. Traylor was worried about us riding bikes on the levees and crashing into the rocks. Once we quit taking bikes over there and just started walking, he never said anything else again.

I tried riding my 4-wheeler on that gas line right of way a few times, someone would always call the cops, that wasn't you doing the calling was it?! Ha ha ha! I'd always slip out of there and take a different route home when I saw the cop pull in there on Redwood.
