Been out 3 times in the last couple of weeks crappie fishing & had one good trip. Big black crappie were close to the river. Typical Fall pattern it seems.

Also sauger fished from the beach below Meldahl dam last week along with 8 or 9 other people. I was the only one who caught a fish that evening and it was just a big drum. This cold weather should have them on the move soon enough though.

I hope so. River has been rough the last couple of years and haven't been able to get after them.

I plan on going on a Sauger searching mission Friday at Smithland if weather forecast and river forecast do not change.

Those are a couple of good ones. We have also been Sauger fishing for the last week or so. The new 14" minimum in Ky has us culling lots of fish. Haven't really got into any real nice ones. Lots of 13" fish.
