Default Crappie Club in Bowling Green Area?

I recently retired and relocated to the Bowling Green area of Kentucky to be near the grandkids.

I would like to learn to fish for crappie and take the grandkids. Crappie fishing would probably hold their attention better than bass at their young ages. Is anyone aware of a crappie fishing club in my area? I would like to get involved with other crappie minded folks I can learn from.

My wife of 42 years would never eat any fish. To be polite she recently tried crappie at a friends and lo and behold........she liked it! Now she likes an occasional fish dinner.

Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife is in the first year of a three year program of dropping fish attractors in Barren River Lake. Meetings are currently being held at Corp of Engineers office and volunteers are welcomed. If you’re looking to learn the hows, where’s and rub elbows with a great group of fellow crappie fans, look no further. We get contacted through email by Joseph Zimmerman who is an officer with F & W. If you’d like to be added to the list of contacts, message me or look up Joseph Zimmerman’s Facebook page or Kentucky Fish & Wildlife website to be included. We dropped beds earlier this year and I can personally say they work and would be an awesome spot to take kids to fish. Name: IMG_1343.jpg
