"Cane Pole" Mr. Tom did a great job demonstrating his line removing and winding machine. I was impressed by the accuracy of amount of line that can be installed on reels. He stated that Ed "Slab" would be putting an article out on Crappie.com for input and comment soon.Name: 20191102_151904.jpg

I''m always amazed at Tom's creativity and talents. I always go back to the old adage "It ain't rocket science". It is rocket science for Tom.

I was having a tough time demo-ing with my hands shaking. Thanks for everyone's help. I have essential tremors that is progressing because of chronic neuropathy. (A present from Southeast Asia.) I leave my care in the hands of God and the VA.

I wish you the best in getting help with your neuropathy. My VA decided to send me to a private practice which after over a year of complaining he finally gave me a script for something that also makes me sleepy. So only minor relief is at night.

    Thanks Rickie.

Electric winders in the marketplace are expensive. They range from from 500 to 5000 dollars and more. Here is a link to one that is ran by a drill.

My spooler does more and hopefully lots cheaper and flexable.

The wooden spool holder ain't part of the gadget, ONLY the white looking rig. Anybody can make a spool holder. Mine is made with left over deck wood. I jazzed it up a little. 1/2 thread 6 inch carriage bolt, flat washers, 1/2 inch nut, spring from Brenda's BnD eletric autofeed weedeater for line tension setting. Also has some magnets to hold tools. Magnetics helps my dementia. Rewinder spool is made from pool noodle. The noodle was next to me holding some jigs. AHHA!!!

IT was wiggling cause I didn't have the shaft lined up good with the reel. THIS will not harm anything as it is made of pvc. Besides, when I wind my line in with or without a fish, my reel wobbles like the devil.

This is a good tool for people with hand issues such as arthritis. It is fun to play with too.
