Here’s one a buddy of Finiman (Justin) caught fishing with me. It was foul hooked in the side. It ripped off 300 feet of line on it’s first run. Name: IMG_0389.jpg

2 types of Asian Carp - the bighead and the silver

The silvers are the ones that jump and thankfully don't get as big as the bighead. The bighead have been in KY and Barkley for much longer than the silvers, people just didn't pay much attention to them because they aren't the ones that jump.

Nice! They don't eat shad, and even if they tried to they do not possess a true stomach to digest them. They swim with their mouths open sucking up anything in the water, run it over their gill rakers, and whatever isn't plankton gets expelled out. That's why it's not uncommon to hook one in the mouth, because the bait happened to get sucked in.

With no true stomach, that's why they feed continuously, on plankton.
