I was planning to go last Thursday but the wind deterred me frim driving that far. I went to Cave Run instead and never caught a crappie, but It was good to be out.

I haven’t found them around chowning ln area for some time now. Sunday I never marked a fish above that ramp. I am finding that an area with good size fish will only produce a few before they are gone. I don’t know if the commotion of catching is breaking up the schools or if it’s a typical seasonal thing. I am pretty much on the move all day to get 8 or 10 good take home fish. As far as trolls or meathogs I don’t think those people would have the patience that it is taking right now to get a few good fish. I can say that with all the timber and all the coves and that much water surely I can find a spot for my little tracker. After that I wish them all well,I’m just there to fish.

Dang, Bigger .... that sucks !! I don't know about wind around Cave Run on Thur. but it wasn't all that bad at Green. It was actually windier on Tues than Wed or Thur. Fish were biting, we just didn't know the right places to go. We tried a bunch of the KDFWR brushpiles, but most of them were deteriorated down to near nothing. And we don't know the whereabouts of the brushpiles that the guides & locals were limiting out on. But, like you say ... it was good to be out (after 4months at home). We caught a lot of 4-6" dinks, Pushing jigs, and the 6 good fish we did catch came casting jigs to downed/submerged trees.

I think the water cooled off to fast, they usually take a little while to
bounce back when that happens. It'll pick up soon.

Fished Taylorsville last 2 days. 2 boats. 2 double limits. Fish in pic 16.75". Lots of good ones that will crisp up real nice in corn meal jackets baptized in hot grease. God bless!

I would like see the black nose started in all the lakes. I think they are a pretty fish. Hope they would be a good size about them like the whites and blacks.
