    Default Green River Lake

Fished Saturday from 1-5:30 pm. There was a plenty of traffic on the water as expected, but I found fish and had a steady bite the whole time. I vertically jigged 3 brush piles in 18.5 FOW and managed 7 nice keepers. I was happy with that and had a good dinner with my wife. The fish were really stacked over the brush.
I will say, I am always blown away by how close the pleasure boaters ride by, when there is no reason for it. Growing up fishing Kentucky and Barkley, we always gave a wide birth to fishermen. People have no manners and not much respect anymore.
The fish don’t seem to mind though. Most were dink’s and bit with that good crappie thump!

Crapnute ... were those "brush piles" some that the KDFWR put out (If you know) ?? Don't want to know which ones or where on the lake they were ... just wondering if the ones put out by the KDFWR are still holding up and being used by the fish.

I had clients on KY today and we had a bass boat blow by us at 20 yards. We were in an area where the lake is almost a mile wide and he had plenty of water all the way to the east bank, 2/3 of a mile away. I think sometimes they just want to show off their glitter boats. I don't appreciate it either but what can one do to show displeasure that isn't against the law?

I've got a buddy that keeps a big heavy spinner bait tied on a bait caster just for the to close boaters. He says they get one to close, then it's spinner bait their way.

Crappypappie, all 3 of the piles I fished were placed by the KDFWR. Honestly, there are few I check every time I fish and usually manage to catch fish. I see other fishermen hitting 2 of them quite regularly as well. 1 of the 3, I have never seen another boat on and I know it has been added to in the past year.
After the draw down in November, I tend to move away from their stuff. It seems the better fish are on more natural cover if that makes sense.
Thanks CrappiePappy thanked you for this post
