    That sounds correct. Limiting it to members only is sometimes viewed as discrimination by corporations and won't provide free product to something like that.

    Most of the companies I’ve asked to donate to our events have asked that I make sure the items they donate go to crappie fishermen. We’ve gone thru the open-to-public thing and it didn’t work out. Our events are always open to members and those who would like to be members. Those who are just there for free %^*+ aren’t the folks I want to work my arse off for.

    With that being the case, would it make more sense to raffle the door prizes off? $5 a ticket, and then the raffle money goes to a great charity? Doing that might also get more door prizes from sponsors, especially if it's a great cause like The Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Foundation that sponsors/sends kids to KDFWR conservation camp, or maybe the Wounded Warrior Project, or whatever the event organizers would like to pick.
