Thread: Fall Crappie

Not really sure but in my opinoin from sept thru dec would be good. As far as baits jigs n minnows over cover.
Lake cumberland is some 20' below summer pool this should help things. Again just my opinion

I agree with spoondog. I was on Cumberland yesterday. Caught some bream but no crappie. It is low, surface temp 90-92 so I think it will be awhile before the temps get right. Alot of the deeper brush is becoming visible along the creek channels. Could be good in a month or so.

Thanks, hoping to get down from Ohio for a couple days in late Sept or early Oct.

Buckeye I would come down mid or late Nov. if you are wanting to catch them shallow........last oct. water temp was 81 around the 18th of oct......

I will keep an eye on the posts and the corps of engineers website to monitor temps. Not much experience here and hoping to put a few in the freezer for the winter.

What part of Cumberland you plan on fishing?

Probably Faubush, White Oak, Cub Creek areas? I guess wherever I can find fish but I will launch at Conley Bottom.

Unless they have changed you better bring plenty of money if you are going to put in there...especially if you are going several days...
