    Default Taylorsville last Wednesday 7/31/19

My fishing buddy and I went out to Taylorsville last Wednesday for first time since end of May. Caught 30 plus crappie but only had 8 keepers (all over 11") Most we caught were 9 7/8" - just under size limit. However we had a good fishing day. Moved around a lot and the keepers were caught off of main lake points near laydowns in 14-18' of water. Fished jigs with minnows on slip floats at 7-8' depths.
We plan to try night fishing at T-ville soon. Anybody out there night fish at T-ville and if so how is the fishing now?

Only time I've fished T-ville at night was for Bass, and the last time I did that was many years ago. Only thing I can tell you that might be of interest is ... the "skeeters" are (were) pretty thick from a little after dark til around 11PM, then they seem to go away.

I'd say that if you're catching them on deep laydowns during the day ... I'd expect them to be there at night.

Thanks for the report At least we know there are plenty of "soon to be keepers" swimming around there, as that bodes well for next year's crop.
