Default Heading to Troll Ky Lake

We are heading to Buchanans Resort on July 7-12. Planning to troll for the crappie with crankbaits. Going to buy some PICO's from reading posts. I have some bandits and arkies already. Any advice on what color PICO is doing well so far? Any advice on the area we are staying to look for the shad and troll for the specks would be much appreciated. Thanks.
That's why they call it Fishing and not Catching!

Last week at big sandy geezer clown, mud bug, and zombie produced a limit for me. Be prepared to catch several shorts to keepers. I averaged 4-5 shorts to each keeper. Good luck. An umbrella and fan makes the day better due to heat.
