Not familiar with the Monticello area. Lake Cumberland Outdoors-Bass Pro Shop on hwy 90 in Bronston has a large selection of gear and tackle. As jwest4164 reported it is close.
Yes, as a matter of fact, I do have a retirement plan...FISHING!

Ok, hoping they have live bait. Anywhere around the lake is fine.

    Thanks for the replies.

You can get live bait in bronston, at fish n ski on highway 80 and in nancy about 5 miles down the road from fish n ski on 80 within about 10 miles from somerset. At eli on highway 76 next to russell springs, the bp/outdoor place in jamestown on highway 127 and another store about 3 miles in jamestown....i am not sure the price of minnows in nancy but fish n ski you get more bang for your buck than the others....

Man thanks Slabeye, hopefully we can get into some nice slabs this week. We are actually fishing for everything and anything. Our first time to Cumberland, wife got me and her a week fishing for Fathers Day. Heading that way Sunday after church. Thanks again...

Lake Cumberland Outdoors has just about everything, food, drinks, gas, live bait, tackle, etc. Big store, lots of stuff.

I will echo what Slabeye said. Fish and Ski on Hwy 80 at the Fishing Creek bridge has quality minnows at ap good price. I buy a lot of minnows at Lake Cumberland Bass Pro in Bronston, but sometimes they are not too healthy. The way minnows are cared for makes a lot of difference in a lively bait.
