    Forget the carp! We have been catching good crappie when we KNEW the cranks were banging off the carp. Yesterday, right in the middle of an exciting hour and 1/2, we foul hooked a BIG silver that actually jumped to throw the hook. Clients loved it.

    I have had a lot of luck with 6a's. I use them or Bandits the most. Haven't had much luck on Pico's but much of that is because the others work so well. I'm fishing a new lake to me Percy Priest and am doing well enough. Doug knows better than most. You can't go wrong following his advise.

    Up this way we target schools of Shad on flats or along channel edges .... and the more schools of Shad in an area, the greater the probability that schools of Crappie will be keeping close proximity. We use the same practice when Pushing jigs.
