    Default 5/21 green

Today was a hard day fishing for us. We single poled, cranked and pushed booty shakers, slabtwisters and hot rods. Seen lots of fish but just couldnt seem to get them to bite. We fished in 4 to 40 fow. Seen lots fish in all depths. Covered lots of water and only managed 31 keepers.

Greenfish I would like to think that but last week we did pretty good and had mostly spawned out fish. Part of our problem could have been we had to many choices in ways to fish and gave up to quick on the style of fishing and we did nothing but hunt for new spots the first part of the day...By the time we got back to the ramp we had 18 poles laying on the boat...Or maybe it was pay back for planning on going to Cumberland this week and went to green.....lol

I went today .... fought the 30mph wind & whitecaps ... had 3 keepers out of 7 total fish caught ... all 3 were females with eggs.

Ran into the same deal, Rodney .... tons of fish showing on the DF, from 5 to 20ft deep ... but they just did not want to bite !!

You know .... I shoulda known something wasn't quite right when I got to Holmes Bend Marina and there were only 6 boat trailers in the parking lot

The Park Ranger crew were putting in the floating barrier at the beach when I got there around 9AM .... while the vultures were nowhere to be seen.

I saw you going by the corp boats Pappy, that day at Holmes Bend. I fished down Robinson creek 2 days, around Wilson creek, and Evergreen does that sound right. The fish was right in the timber close to the shoreline, hitting live minnows best. Mixture of black/white crappie together, catfish, bank runner bass
