    Default Taylorsville with Friends

Once again guys we had a fantastic trip to Taylorsville today fishing with some good friends. 3 boats 8 people total catching 8 man limit, wow what a terrific day the Lord blessed us with.
We spider rigged with jigs and minnows and found fish in 14 to 20 fow between 6 and 12 feet deep trolling .3 to .5 mph. Best colors were White/Chart slider, Yellow slider and hot pink/ silver slider. Carp were swimming everywhere and sure enough one took my jig, buried my 14' Jenko rod to the 4th eye and the fight ensued. After a long careful battle not wanting to loose my underspin jig head that my good friend Crappie Dreamer poured for me, we finally got him in the net weighing in near 17 lbs. It was a fun challenge to say the least. 115 total fish were caught on my boat, with Lots of nice big crappie caught, we ended the day about 4:00 and had fresh crappie for supper. Always a great day when you can fish with friends and family, God Bless and thanks for reading.Name: Capture%2B_2019-05-07-20-26-00~2.jpg

Thanks for the report, buddy !! Looks like you guys got'em dialed in and finding some good sized ones ... congrats !!

And for whatever reason ... T-ville fish are hanging out in nearly the same water depths as many of the Green River Lake fish were, when they ALL SHOULD BE ON THE FREAKIN BANKS, SPAWNING !!

Yeah I saw some guys catching some fish on the banks yesterday but all the big females seem to be out deeper. The ones that had eggs look liked that were ready to bust and the egg sacs are for sure ready, I'm not sure what's going on with them.

We made another trip to Taylorsville 5/14 with the family. It was a beautiful day, water was pretty stained and catching was slower but we still ended up with 4 man limit. Found fish in 20 fow from 12 to 15 feet deep, red/pearl and hot pink/silver tail were the best colors, all fish were very good quality fish. Just a great day to be on the water. God Bless.

I almost came down your way, but just about the time I was thinking of doing that ... we started catching them a bit faster, so I just stuck with it where I was. Our best color was Junebug/Chartreuse (CB Slider). Your fish were a bit deeper than those we were catching, as most of our fish were caught at 8ft deep (1mph with 14ft of line out & a 1oz sinker). I did notice that a lot of the singles & small groups of fish were showing on the depth finder at around 10ft deep, so we kept our baits at the 8ft level as best we could.

Still saw a lot of people casting and flipping minner/float rigs right up on the bank and around stickups and blowdowns .... but, all we caught casting the banks & "wood" was small Bass. After about 30mins of that, we put the casting rods away and brought out the long rods & began Pushing.
