Default Anybody know what kind of snake this is?

I know it’s hard to tell what kind snakes are when they’re small but hoping that someone on here will know. This is the third one that I found this week in and around my shop. It’s only about 6-8 inches long. Name: IMG_1286.jpg

Juvie Black Rat Snake or commonly called chicken snake. Much better to have around a farm than a cat. They eat mice, voles , rats, and poisonous snakes.

Looks like an eastern milk snake to me, their colors vary quite a bit. Used to see them a lot in Southern Indiana, and the fish and wildlife folks like to carry them around to events for people to handle as they are quite docile.

Baby rat snake. They eat a ton of bugs and mice for their size.
