Danny .... not 100% sure, but you'd probably have a shot at a parking spot during the week at Chowning or Van Buren. Depending on how early you get there, you might be OK at Settlers or Possum Ridge during the week.

I think I've seen an Eagle "once" .... and yes it was up towards the river end of the lake. But that was many years ago.

Both ramps have been full by 8 am last 2 times I've been there. I only see eagles there in the winter around horseshoe.

Better be there by 10:00 on weekend for sure. Saw a mature eagle at the marina a week ago. Swooped right down in the no wake area and picked up a shad. I see eagles all over the lake regularly.

Yep. Not the first time I’ve seen one up Big Beech. More common up at Van Buren, especially in the winter. I was duck hunting up there with my boy a few years back and saw a golden eagle. Rare. He was probably just migrating through.

The last two Wednesdays I found Settlers Trace full, I went to Chowning and it was about half full both times.
    Still plenty of parking there.
I did see an eagle last Wednesday, I've only seen them up around Chowning and Van Burren.
