March madness is keeping me away from muddy water.
Dear Crappie.com,
I got my butt kicked at Green yesterday. I usually fish brush piles and have had some success through the last few springs sticking with this method. I was excited to get on the lake yesterday. I just knew I could catch a mess. Wrong!
I couldn’t find the fish in any concentration. Wound up with 3 keepers. I spent a lot of time looking. Water is stained at 50.5. A fishing friend says the draw down has scattered the fish and caused them to suspend. What say you? Was it high pressure, bluebird day turned them off? 🤔. I think everyone else knew what I didn’t. Very few boats on the lake. 😞

With the lake still 13' over Summer Pool & them pulling at 7700cfs (~1.5ft/day) .... yeah, I'd say they're likely scattered, deep, and holding on the down current side of cover, or otherwise holding in any slackwater area they can find. Normally, the lake would just now be starting to rise towards Summer Pool ... instead it's never been at Winter Pool more than a couple days (total) since Jan 1st, and over Summer Pool since Feb 1st ... and severely flooded since then.
When I see Slabeye going to Dale Hollow to fish, I'm pretty sure Green is not in a productive condition.

East wind and high pressure didn't help! My buddy was on some good fish Thursday went yesterday and nothing.
We spent all day yesterday on Barren. Nothing. Drove through some hardwood trees that are normally dry ground that is now 30 ft deep .
Well...you suck!
JK! Conditions just aren't right sometimes. Or, if you're like me, you just don't figure them out some days. It'll make the next good trip even better!
