I don't make it a habit, but can usually guesstimate pretty accurately.
I think Slabeye keeps a total count and keeper count on his clicker counters.
I never count short fish. At the end of the day I feel like I have keeper:throwback ratio estimate. But I've never counted them. Who does or doesn't??

Sometimes I keep a clicker for throw backs, 9" fish, 10" , 11" fish and over 12". I don't keep any fish unless the person with me keeps some so I fish to see how many keepers I can catch in a day.....Mainly before tourneys when we keep up with all of that any more....from 2009 to 2016 i kept a records of everything...

It's nice to know keeper percentage but I don't do it the entire season. If I'm fishing with my wife, she always keeps fish caught with a clicker on her life jacket. I have one and keep up with box fish. If I'm fishing with a friend, I just keep up with the fish that go in the box. On different years it's been as high as 27 percent
and as low as 7 percent.
he is a VERY meticulous guy !!! Ask him about his notebook lol
It has paid off though
To answer your question ... I don't count short fish
