Default Summer Crankin on Ky Lake

Hello to all. Work has changed my schedule and spring trip is out. Thinking about Ky lake and crankbait trolling for crappie in June/July. We have stayed in Cypress Bay. Advice by anyone is appreciated regarding area, time to do it, etc. Thanks!

Made my first crankin trip in July of last year, with MRDUX. What a blast! Air temps were in upper 90's......and we still caught nice big crappie. It was a very educational trip.
We were on Lake Barkley that day.

castaway, I'm with everyone else. Get with MRDUX and set up a trip if you are going to be there several days in June/July(schedule 1st day you are there). He will show you how to catch fish, Crappie mostly, but you will pick up LM Bass, Catfish, and various other fish when you use his 'Crankin' technique. Even if you are not into crankin for fish, he will help you with other types of fishing advice. Should still be good for Bluegill/Shellcrackers in June. If you decide on getting MR, make reservations soon. He fills up fast on his schedule.
Thanks castaway87 thanked you for this post
