    Default Weiss Lake Alabama

I know this is a KY site but a booked a trip for my anniversary last year for my wife and I to go to NYC. Gave her a diamond ring on a horse and carriage ride through Central Park.

This year I booked another romantic trip for our anniversary.; a two day trip to Weiss Lake fishing. It rained all day Saturday but was sunny and warm Sunday. Regardless, we got limits both days. She enjoyed the heck out of the trip. I cant say it was NYC on her mind, but I will definitely get her back out on the water soon enough.Name: IMG_20181202_133516_377.jpg

Little River Marina. Yes, I always stay there. It is a nice place with a good breakfast and cleaning stations. Staff is friendly and prices are fair. $59 per night plus tax I believe. Guides are always around in the morning and very helpful also.

Great trip. I go multiple time per year. I would suggest hauling your boat down but getting a guide the first day. He will help show where to go a nbn d where not to. A very shallow lake so you need to be careful. Mark Collins is a friend and great guide. He has a web site. After a day on the water with him, cut loose in your boat and you will be successful or at least you have better chances.

Looks like a great time. And with someone special to share it with. This place is definitely on my "to do" bucket list.
Crappie spawning and morels popping up at the same time. What was God thinking when he made that schedule. It's pure torture every spring deciding which to do.
