Never fished it but drove past it last weekend and water looked good. Let us know how you do if you get out there

I bass fished it yesterday and had 5 fish nothing over 2lbs,water was clear and 51. Talked two boats that were crappie fishing with jigs and they never caught a fish, saw two crappie dot com boats that were fishing minnows and the both had fish, did not talk to them just saw that they were putting fish in the boat. Going to try it Tuesday or Wednesday.

Went Monday and fished from 10 am till 4pm and only had 3 fish but 2 were right at 15". 14' deep over 23' off water and temps down to 49. Only truck in Sim ramp all-day you will not see that very often even in the winter.

What is the best way to hook a minnow when slip cork fishing?

I don't know if it's the "best" way .... but, I always hook a minner thru the eye socket (behind the eyeballs & not thru them) when using a regular hook/sinker rig. If I'm using a jighead, I'll run the hook up thru the V of their throat folds & exit it between the nostrils.
If I'm using a (recently) dead, or dying minner on a jighead, I'll put the hook into the mouth and exit it behind the head ... but, only if/when I'm moving the rig. If the rig is stationary, Bluegill & Catfish seem to be the only one's interested in it.

11 good keepers from cedar during the day is like 30 anywhere else in my book. That's a good day.
