While on my way home from the fall shindig I got a call from the wife saying that our Golden Retriever Leroy wasnt doing good, when I got home we came to the agreement that there was nothing farther we could do to improve his quality of life.. As much as it saddened us we put him to sleep that monday.. We started talking about another family dog a week or so later... Meet Gunner

Sorry to hear about your loss of Leroy. I recently had to put my beloved 13 year old black lab Annabelle down. Glad you found Gunner, it will help with the grieving.

Mickey1982, I'm glad you found another member for your family and sorry for your loss of Leroy. The last dog I had to put down just about brought me to my knees. Almost as bad as losing a family member. She would greet me every day from work and as I stepped out of he car and bent over to greet her, she would lock her front legs behind my neck. I could pick her up by just standing up, she would not let go. Just can't get myself to find another dog. We now have a couple cats. They are nice, but nothing like a dog.

My son got a black lab from MR DUX and it’s his best friend. He now works in TX for 21 days and then home for 10. I dog set, they miss each other when he’s away. He had a girl friend that must have been jealous, she said to get rid of the dog! Well he still has the dog
