I have no experience under those conditions, but I have my doubts as to the current situation at Taylorsville being conducive to much chance of a productive trip. But then I haven't been real "productive" at Taylorsville this past year, under much better conditions.
Taylorsville was at that same level back in early April and launching was pretty much limited to the Possum Ridge ramp, and even it was "iffy" on account of trash/debris clogging it. I went shortly afterwards and when the water had receded several feet, and attempted to launch at Settler's ... but, turned around and went to Possum Ridge because of the heavy debris field covering the launch ramp at Settler's. Wind direction plays a big part in which banks the logs/limbs/debris will settle on.
The fact that we haven't had anyone reporting on trips to Taylorsville in the past couple of weeks is evidence enough for me to consider other waters. Even with them pulling the lake at that rate, it will take them til the end of the month to get it back down to Winter Pool ... and the current weather forecast for the last week of the month, though the temps are to be in the 50's, is showing 40-50% chances of rain in that area.
