    Default Trolling Crankbaits on Green


    Has anyone been having any luck trolling cranks on Green. Haven't been all summer and getting ready to try...just wondering where to start....

    Been hearing of some being caught that way. Just pick a flat and try it.

    We finally got to go yesterday and we got 20 fishing at Buffalo Gap in 20 foot of water

    I've always thought when you're pulling cranks it's better about 1:00 PM on. It sure does get hot though. Same with long lining. I like pushing cranks/jigs a lot better early though.

    Nice job! Is the average size at Green any different when pulling cranks versus using other methods?

    With regard to size when pulling cranks, in my very brief experience with that method, using 2 poles, and the trolling motor, we usually catch keepers and I have to say they are usually good quality on Green.
    If I find fish concentrated while trolling, I switch over to vertical jigging whatever cover they are keying on.
    I love to feel that thump on my jig poles.
