I had to teach my wife to fish on one of our first dates over 35 years ago. Pulled up to a brush pile and cast a jig out for her and showed her how to reel it in. She caught a fish before I could pick up my pole and several more that day. Now she hunts and fishes whenever she can. Herdad fished and hunted with his sons but never took his daughters. I didn't make that mistake with my girls and enjoyed a lot of good memories for it.

Lol but can she cook, I mean old fashion homemade biscuit and gravy, iron skillet cornbread and make everything from scratch? I might not have a new boat but I'm going on 22 years and happy, lol. I've enjoyed this post...

Well, I’m blessed with a wife that loves boating, hiking, camping, fishing, shooting, and going hunting with me. Loves just riding around with me and the dog. Patiently waits while I try to capture something with a camera. Never gets tired of boat riding. Absolutely loves pulling crankbaits.

Ive never missed the opening day of kentucky deer season. One year a shoulder injury required surgery two weeks before season. Was disappointed of the prospect of missing an opening day. She said that isn’t going to happen. She got me dressed with arm slinged and strapped down, carried gun and pack to buddy stand, carried everything up and held safety line while I carefulled climbed ladder with one arm. While didn’t see anything worth harvesting, that was and is my most memorable hunt.

And yes, she can cook old fashioned and new. Couple years ago said she wanted a smoker for Christmas and has mastered that. While all that just about makes her perfect, putting up with and loving me makes her perfect in my eyes. So,buddy take em rain, sleet, snow, or shine cause the memories harvested are priceless and timeless.
