if my wife said she wanted to go fishing, I'd say why aren't you in the boat yet?? worried about getting skunked?? HA I'd hope she would catch MORE than I did so she'll want to go back.

Go fishing for bluegill, so she can get some easy fish.

My wife has just as much fun watching wildlife, as she does catching fish.

Take her out. Just make sure it's a decent day, not a lot of wind, no rain, decent temps. Wife went with me a couple times, it was not what she wanted. Said it was too much work. Put her on fish, I only took fish off and put more bait on. Also, she saw a boat put out a drift sock. Asked me what it was and what it was for. I said it was a big bag to help the boat slow down in the wind. I tried to make a joke, asked her if I could have a couple of her bloomers and I could then make me a drift sock. She didn't thing this was funny.

My wife loves to go fishing with me. Granted the weather has to be perfect, otherwise will pass and doesn't mind if I go without her.
When she goes, I'm the guide. Set up the poles, bait the hook, take fish off, and try to find fish. While I'm hunting she's either reading or enjoying the scenery.

Don't forget to pack her favorite drinks and snacks.

On a side note I had to buy a 5th wheel to get her out camping. See past on tent camping for the last 30 years.

It wasn't meant to be. I got up at 4 and checked the radar and decided it was a no go. I'm glad i made that call, because it looks like Green is getting soaked. Now my oldest son is mad, so I reckon we'll try to hit a closer place today if the rain quits.

My wife goes with me about every trip and beats me most of the time since teaching her to spider rigg. Unlike others though she baits her own hooks, removes her own fish and packs me snacks and drinks while I continue fishing. You all are prob thinking she ain't real, just imaginary, lol.
