    Default Green River Lake Report

Fished Friday Saturday and Sunday. Water temp was upper 80's to 90 degrees. I pulled crank baits on Friday and Sunday. Caught 6 crappie on Friday and 10 on Sunday. Solid white crank done the job on Sunday. Not bad for my first time cranking. Water had recently droppped about 3 feet. Color looked good. Some trash floating but not to bad.

Fished Green, Tues & Weds with my son, home from his summer job. We pulled cranks both mornings and caught 10 keepers each day. Tuesday fish were on the flats in 14.5-13 FOW and would only bite cranks. Tuesday's bite was decent, as we caught several shorts, an 18" LMB (released) and 2 nice cats. Today fish were in piles in 13.5 FOW. After a few passes with cranks, we switched to jigs & caught 60+ shorts with a few keepers. Excellent bite on the jigs. We were catching doubles, they were just short. Both days, we switched over to Bluegill fishing after it got hot and found some decent males still on the nest. Cleaned 53 fish total. My son was very happy. It was good to have him back in boat.
