    Default Nolin Night Stalking

With the temperatures in the 90's and heat indexes near 100 for the next several days, thought I'd do a little night fishing. Fished Friday & Saturday nights, and surface temp was 86 Friday & 88.5 Saturday. Jumped 2.5 degrees in a day- it's hot during the day! Had a distinct thermocline at 18 ft deep. Anchored in ~25 fow on a drop next to main channel. Both nights caught most crappie ~12 ft deep and they bit well until the white bass showed up. Caught the white bass ~16-18 ft deep, and after thinning them out a little, the crappie picked back up. Friday had 20 crappie & 6 big white bass, Saturday was almost a repeat with 20 crappie, 8 white bass, & 1 channel catfish.

    Great job!
How big of a mess did the white bass make in your lines?

Got to get them white bass in quick, or they'll make a mess of the lines for sure. Catfish & gar are worse though...
