    Default Taylorsville Bream/Shell crackers?

Has anyone had any success size wise on Bream and Shell crackers at Taylorsville Lake. I know KY and Barkley are good bream destinations, but 4 hour drive for me.

I don't target them, specifically, or else I'd give you the low down, buddy. Caught quite a few Bluegill when casting jigs for Crappie, but none more than the hand size variety. Personally speaking, I've fished the lake since it opened & have never caught a Shellcracker (or heard of the lake being known for them). If they're in there (& I see no reason for them not to be), you'd think there'd be some gooduns in there, what with all the Zebra Mussels the lake is supposed to have.

Same here CrappiePappy. I fished that stretch of Salt River for years before the lake was built. Started fishing the lake with Dad when it first opened. Never caught a Redear out of the river or lake. Bluegill hand size no monsters. But caught TONS of Crappie out of the river before the lake was built. And TONS after the lake was built fishing the lake.
