    Thumbs up Taylorsville Lake 5/7/18

Paul & I went to Taylorsville today ... and I think we both probably caught a limit, mostly 10-11" fish. Turned them all back to continue doing their thing, which is exactly what I believe they're doing. Caught mostly males, and what females we caught most were still with a belly full of eggs. Though, there were a couple two or three that looked mostly spawned out.

Here's Paul with the average sized fish we were catching -

We saw water temps from 68-71deg - water color was dingy looking - lake is 2ft above Summer Pool

We caught most all of our fish in about 8-10fow & about 4-6ft deep ... around wood cover. Hot color early was pink/char tube jig ... then later (after Noon to around 3PM) after having a Drum destroy my custom made pink Road Runner, I tied on a Zuma Crappie spin jighead & a Southern Pro Crappie Slug in Popsicle and we started destroying them (Paul got like me real quick after I pulled in 5 keepers in 5 casts )

And I've heard/read that Taylorsville has a population of Saugeye .... and today I proved it to myself :

Great job guys! Sounds like a killer day.
And we've probably caught a dozen or so Saugeye the size you have there in the last 3 or 4 months over there. Wish they were 15 inches...

I went yesterday as well. Didn't have as many keeper size fish but I did catch the twin to the Saugeye in your picture. Hopefully they will grow up one day!
