I don't fish the "Dead Sea" much so I can't help you there.
I will say I love my Ulterra. After you learn it, and get used to it, I'm sure you will too.
One piece of advice, study the Instruction page for the remote, and take a copy with you.
I'm going to Lake Malone Thursday to learn to use my new Ulterra trolling motor and hopefully catch a few crappie. Has anyone been up there in the last few days? Wondering about level, water condition, trash floating, etc. Any help would be appreciated?
If you know anything about the Ulterra and care to teach me, Id really appreciate any help. Looking forward to learning how to use it. Ive been told ya gotta be 10% smarter than the tool you are using and I am concerned that my motor is a lot more than 10% smarter than I am!
Wish me luck!

I have printed the owners manual for the motor and read the owner manual for the remote several times. I will print the remote manual and take a copy along with me. Thank you for the good advice. Looking for some good weather and calm wind so I can learn it. May go tomorrow but forecast is for wind with gusts to 25 mph! Yikes. Thanks again for the advice.
