Smile Tried a little wind & surf casting, today ...

    at Taylorsville

Seriously ... no sooner than I'd get ready to ease up on a spot and cast, here come the wind gusts, followed shortly thereafter by 2 cruisers, 4 Bass Boats, and 3 Pontoons

Needless to say I bounced around quite a bit, today.

No depth or water temps ... depth finder wouldn't turn on. Water was dirty green (about 1ft visibility).

Ended up with seven keepers ... 3 on blue/char Thunder Tube - 4 on pink Roadrunner. All fish caught on blowdowns in the shade. First cast brought in a keeper, then second cast brought in a small Drum. Picked up another Drum @ about 3-4lbs a little later on. Only had 3 throwback Crappie (8.9 inches) ... all but one keeper were White Crappie.

Probably would have caught more if I'd have gotten there before 930AM ... ... but just couldn't get my butt in gear this morning.

Settlers Trace parking lot was 95% full when I arrived.

Talking about going Friday to see if I can catch a few. Never fished in the fall. Usually in the woods.

The good news is ... I figured out why the depth finder wouldn't come on. One of the pins in the power outlet in the back of the unit was bent out of position.

I checked it before hooking it up here at home, and sure enough one of the pins was out of place. Bent it back into position, hooked up the unit, and it came on. Now, to re-familiarize myself with how to make a screenshot, and maybe I'll have some "new" pics to share. I've already missed getting some real good screenshot pics from some of my previous trips.
