    Default Taylorsville Lake Bluegill

I've got a lot of extra wax worms from my Ky Lake trip and I don't want them to go to waste. Has anybody caught or ever heard of anyone catching any sizable bluegill from Taylorsville Lake? If so, any tips would be appreciated.

I've never fished for bluegill at Tville because I have never heard of any good reports. Although I have noticed several brush piles covered with little gills on my sonar. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Haven't seen/heard of anything over hand sized BG's being caught at T-ville ... but, you might give the waxies a try down at Cedar Creek for some Shellcrackers & Bluegill. They ain't likely to be very many of them the size you catch at KY/Barkley, but there have been some huge Shellcrackers caught from there in the past.

I was loading or unloading my boat at Settlers trace 3 or 4 years ago. Some guy was walking to the parking lot coming from that cove to the right. As he passed i looked in his fish basket and couldnt believe what i saw.I stopped him and looked at a solid 12" Redear. He only had one.I know i sounds crazy but i saw it with my own eyes. This fish would have turned heads at Kentucky Lake.
That said years ago i caught a few messes in the quarry on the upper end of the lake. Also my buddy showed me a pic of a mess from last year. Not huge but big enough to clean.Bluegill that is.

Last year in June my brother and dad caught 99 keepers in one spot. And if they cleaned them they were good ones. First time I've heard of that many good ones coming off Taylorsville. Pretty sure on grizzly jigs and wax worms near chowing lane.
