Well Amazon wasn't exactly right on their weight of the battery, unless they were including the packaging. 10lbs of battery is great. I received the battery and charger, and am awaiting conversion parts for trolling motor. I sent Classic Accessories an email, and haven't heard back. Going to give it one more shot at messaging them, then make my own travel wheel fork. Getting antsy about the maiden voyage. Would like to get it in before the knee surgery...
I added a picture of the charger. For all it doers, it's not much bigger than my S20 phone, and about 5 times thicker...just saying...

I got the 7" seat post riser this morning to raise the seat up a bit. Already had the swivel mounted to a cushy seat the man who bought the john boat didn't want, so going to get that mounted. I'm getting it there, a bit at a time. Thank you for the interest and comment Buckeye.

It sure seems like the older I get, the more things get in the way of me getting to do something I want/need to get done. I am back to the pontoon boat for a bit, at least wise as long as my knee and Ms. Joyce isn't ta hollarin' but that's another story.
Any way, went by the metal sales place to get some cost of materials. 2' square tubing 1" sq. x 1/8" wall is less than $3, the 1' wide x 1/8" thick flat stock is $1.36 aft. x 3'. Then I need to cut it, bend the forks and get it all welded up. there is a slight design change as I've yet found anyone around here that can bend square tubing. So instead of the sweeping 90* bend, it will be a 90* butt weld. hoping to get this done soon. truck goes to Transmission shop on the first to see what's up with it...and I'm looking at kknee surgery sometime around the first of Sept.

I know the feeling very well. Being 74 gives me limits. Congestive heart failure 2 years ago has limited me on a lot of things. Tumor removal on 7/11 added more limits.
As soon as able I'll post some photos of my kayak and cart/trailer set ups.

I think I have it figured out on the new design. So, figuring about a 1/8 to 3/16" loss on the 1" sq. tubing for cutting, and then the loss on the fork for grinding, this is what I'm shooting for. Should be about 5" between the forks at the axle with the top of the tire about 1/2" below where the fork bends. Mechanical engineer I'm not, nor a drafts man, but I think it's easy enough to follow. Anyone have anything they think I should change??? Or suggestions on a better way.
Now take into consideration, this is only to move about 100 lbs total weight from the parking lot to the water, whatever that distance would be, various distances unknown.
Material cost will be less than $10. I'm not sure what it will cost to get the rest done, if. Bend the flat bar, and the welding...If I had a good vice and a proper mounting table, I could bend it myself, but no welder, nor experience doing it.

Looks like momma going to see the newest grand baby out in Az sometime after the first, which free's me up to get back on this project. I have the materials for the wheel fork, just need to find a welder who don't the whole farm for a few min. of work. 1st place I checked wanted $85.00 an hr. with a 2 hr, min. When Classic accessories was selling the part, it wasn't even an hr.s worth of labor cost for them...
