    On one of my kayaks I went with the Scotty rod holders. Added an extension so my legs would be under it. The extension needs shortened a bit.

    From marketplace I buy a Mr. Crappie rod holder that had a stainless steel mod to fit over a boat seat post for $30. I removed the seat post. I cut the center post down to fit on another kayak. As far down as it will go a bit to high still.
    From a yard sale I got another Mr. Crappie rod holder new in box for $5. Still in the box for now.

    The Scotty's have blocks in the angle adjuster. Makes it hard to run rod tips just above the surface.
