It looks like you could fit a couple of Plano 3600’s beside the seat. It looks like it would handle great

I use the waterproof version both Plano and Flambeau, saves lots of rusted hooks etc. the 3440 fits in my vest pockets

My kayak crappie tackle is a two-part system, no crate:
-the small orange/black Ozark Trail tackle bag (without the trays) for jigs / packages
-1 mid-sized tackle tray with jig heads, slip corks etc.
Both can be kept under my legs or easy reach around to the back cargo well.

    Unstructured backpacks also work well.

I fish in a Bonafide Rs117, two 3700 boxes fit nicely under the seat. Also carry a small soft bag between my legs. I can put a soft sided cooler in the front for drinks. Carry a cooler behind the seat for the fish and it is difficult to access, thinking about attaching a rope to the lid to assist opening it. Only been out a few times, still working on the organization. Just bought the NRS Chinook and excited to try it out.
