Thread: Kayak mods

What mods have y’all done to improve your fishing?
I Should have done this a long time ago.
I made this rudder to help my old town Vapor 10 track better while fishing.
I put a spring on it to hold it down , yet have some give if I hit a stump or the bottom.
It’s a little flimsy but works great. The yak used to be bad about spinning from the wind. This made it a pain to constantly paddle to keep it straight.
I had seen some after market rudders online but most looked like they were too short to help.
I was able to remove the handle and put the screws back with the angle bracket.
I plan to put a rope handle back in place of the original.
