The new boat is too skinny for pedestal seats. You will spend all your time trying to stay balanced. Sell it.

Patch up the old boat. Sell it.

Get yourself another boat like the first boat and get on with life.
Maybe they will bite this one……

Put a little water in the old boat and figure out where it is leaking, if just at the rivets get some help and rebuck them. I have fixed several leaks on old boats by rebucking them.....I have even replaced some rivets with slightly larger rivets. Good luck what ever you decide to do.

My 14 foot jon starting leaking last year, slow at first. Most was around the live well inlet.

I got a $12 can of flex seal spray at the dollar store on the way to the lake. I hit the area around the live well and a couple others. Absolutely no leaks now.
It sure looked like it was going to be a long term fix. I will know tomorrow, first time out this year.

I do not use a gas engine on this boat. And almost never on a river.

I have had several small Jon boats over the years, so far this is the most promising patch I have found. Most will last fine during the summer, but over a cold winter tend to break loose from the boat.

Had the boat out all day Friday, no leaks what so ever. The patched places still look great, holding up very well.

My boat is kept exposed to the weather year round. So far so good.

It was warm weather last year when I applied it in the 70's. I'm sure cooler weather during application might have had a negative effect on how long it would last.

Sometimes by adding weight to the front of the boat will help stabilize your smaller Jon boat,,,I used to put a bag of 80 lb corn in my old 10’ Jon just so it wouldn’t wheelie,,,lol. Help with me turning and flipping as well..,only sank it twice in a pond like 10’ deep,,,lost my brand new tv cellphone and boy was I pissed,,,sold it the next day….
